Collaboration has been a part of my brand since day one. It’s not about marketing for me — I’ve been working with Ayzit Bostan for 8 years now, and I love what her sensitive interventions bring to PB 0110.

For our new collection, I asked Ayzit to reinterpret a Japanese “Sacoche” bag. A Sacoche bag is light, worn close to the body, but still has space for personal items.

We’ve made it using a vegetable-tanned leather from a tannery in Belgium that’s been around for more than 170 years, and was awarded with the Leather Working Group’s Bronze Standard certification. The challenge for us was finding the right thickness of leather, so that the zipper runs smoothly while keeping the bag as light as possible.

Speaking of zippers, we used “Excella” zips from YKK, the highest quality available, which are produced in their German factory.

The bags are assembled at a great manufacturer in Germany. I always wanted to work with him, and the pandemic made it possible.

The bag is available from our online shop, and at International Gallery Beams in Japan, with whom I had a wonderful exchange about the typology of the bag. This is new for us, normally there are 4 months between presentation and launch.

It is a good time to rethink. The price is €289.

Kindest,
Philipp Bree
